We’re passionate about helping you grow and make an impact in the world with your writing.

Meet The team
Meet Rebecca
Upon completing two Masters’ degrees: one in Education and one in English, Rebecca has over fifteen years of professional editing and teaching experience. Leaving behind her days of editing essays and dissertations, she started JustAskHer Productions and embraced the world of fiction editing, audiobook production, and writing-course education.
She is an avid defender of the ‘said’ dialogue tag, and she loves to engage in “Grammar Wars” because someone needs to fight for the use of the Em Dash and the Oxford Comma.
Also, Rebecca describes herself as a deep developmental edit diver, a long-winded line editor, an all-around genre reviewer, a non-breaking space believer, and a lover of an erotica kicker.
In her free time, Rebecca is up usually up to some story-telling adventure: film watching, filmmaking, reading, or writing. If she is not invested in a story, she is hanging with her husband, her boys, and her chosen family.
Meet Rita
Rita is a full-time wife and mother to three girls. She graduated from UMass Amherst in 2005 with a Bachelor’s degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences, Majoring in Communications and Minoring in Classics. She has worked as a loan processor, HR rep, and in various retail jobs. She has moved around quite a bit.
Rita was born in Louisiana, graduated from high school and college in Massachusetts, moved to Wisconsin, then to New Hampshire, and is now finally settled in Florida, and she has no plans to leave! Rita loves the hot weather and beaches way too much. She comes from a long line of book and movie lovers, and she’s a bit of a hoarder when it comes to owning her favorites.
In 2020, she joined all the smutty book groups, and her eyes were opened to a whole new world. Rita loves working with and reading Indie authors. Editing professionally is a relatively new passion of hers, but reading has been a lifelong passion of hers.

Meet Justine
Justine married her high school sweetheart and best friend, a true storybook-worthy romance. They have a daughter and a son, whom they adore. Reading came back into her life just at the right time, and dark romance and all its sub-genres danced their way into her heart.
After realizing that climbing the corporate ladder wasn’t quite her ‘jam,’ she took Editing Courses with JustAskHer Productions, became certified with the Editorial Freelance Association, and found her next love in the book world: editing.
Justine’s favorite part of working with authors is helping bring their stories to life. Whether that’s being a sounding board for plotting and character development, helping craft stronger plotlines, or being your biggest cheerleader, she’ll be there to support you every step of the way.
Justine is someone who is neurodivergent, and she is a huge advocate for mental health and breaking the stigmas around it. Therefore, she is able to sensitivity-read for neurodivergent characters. Also, thanks to her wonderful husband, who played hockey, she is able to sensitivity-read for the sport.
In her free time, Justine also provides PA services for authors and JustAskHer Productions. Finally, her future dream is to open a café bookstore for Independent Authors.
Meet Brianna
Brianna has always been the kind of person who gets a little too excited about a perfectly timed plot twist. She’s a lifelong book lover and avid reader who’s fallen head over heels in love with indie authors and their brilliant books. Brianna is always looking for ways to support indie authors, and now she is excited to have the chance to do so through editing.
By trade, Brianna is a nurse, and she brings that same compassion and care into her editing practice. When she is not editing, you’ll most likely find her spending time with her family or cuddling up with a book and a cup of tea.
If you want an editor who truly cares about your story and your journey, someone who’s just as invested in the tension, heat, and every twist in between as you are, then the two of you will be a perfect match.
Brianna’s areas of expertise in sensitivity reading would be in the fields of medicine and mental health. Please inquire if you have a manuscript that requires this type of extra attention.
Additionally, Brianna provides PA services.
Meet Alistair
Alistair has been shaping stories since he was a child. From an early age, he knew that storytelling was what he wanted to build his life around. In the service of that goal, he graduated with a Bachelor of English and a Master of Literature from the University of Cincinnati.
After graduation, he spent upwards of five years teaching writing and literature to college students, guiding them to express themselves. He spent several years working with Oloris Publishing as an editor and the head of their Poetry Division, where he had the pleasure of finding and shaping works of art. Also, he is a published poet.
When not writing and editing, Alistair enjoys taking photos of his rescue dogs and cats, telling stories about his rescue dogs and cats, getting excited about Dungeons and Dragons, LGBTQIA activism, and lecturing the unwary about his philosophies on art and the humanities.
Meet Arielle
Arielle began her editing journey while completing her Bachelor's degree in English, with a triple minor in creative writing, mathematics, and biology.
After college, Arielle taught abroad for a year. Then, she returned home and began her career as a professional editor.
When Arielle was asked what her top priorities were as an editor, she said, "My goal as an editor is to help the authors I work with to find his or her voice and to make it shine. I never want to change their voice. I just want to help them to bring the story they envision to life." Also, Arielle is a strong advocate for comma rules and a strong proponent for helping writers work on scene structure.
In her free time, Arielle is beginning to work on her voice acting reel as well as enjoying working on her personal writing endeavors.
Meet Zach
Zach began his sound creation journey when he received his first drum kit. His love for sound and music only grew over the years as he participated in every music, theater, and film production he could find. For example, he has participated in the 48Hour FilmProject every year since 2008 with JustAskHer Productions. Zach is highly talented when it comes to sound editing. Logic Pro, Audacity, and Izotope are just a few of the software programs Zach loves to use when editing his creative projects.
Also, Zach designs and assembles desktop computers for anyone who is looking to have a personalized computer created for them. Authors, film creators, audiobook creators, and gamers have all had computers designed by him.
In his free time, Zach likes to travel to music festivals, play board games with his friends and family, continue learning new percussion rhythms and hanging out with his four dogs.
Meet Chris
Chris has been creating stories & films since he could hold a camera. Furthermore, he has been writing tales, making films, or acting in films for over twenty years. Every year, he will participate in some way in JustAskHer Productions 48HourFilm Competition adventures. Currently, Chris is working on furthering his filming skill set via a camera drone. At present, he is training to receive his license in this type of camera work.
Also, Chris is highly talented when it comes to film editing. Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Photoshop are just a few of the software programs Chris loves to use when designing his current creative projects. Finally, he produces and writes a weekly Dungeons and Dragons podcast. This podcast has been a passion project of his for a little over three years.
When Chris is not spending time lost in a creative project, he runs a self-sustaining farm with his wife and five children.
